More than 40 long-distance trains set off
This year, additional trains will be launched in the spa destinations because extremely active domestic tourism is expected.
Ukrzaliznytsia resumed railway passenger transportation in Ukraine. This was reported by the press service of the company on a page on Facebook on Monday, June 1.
“Let’s go! Friends, the first train departed from the Kiev-Passenger station to Konstantinovka. Rain on the road is a good omen. Therefore, bon voyage, passengers!” – the message says.
It is expected that from June 1, more than 40 long-distance trains and 214 suburban trains will go on the road. The schedule of passenger trains can be found on the website of Ukrzaliznytsia.
In turn, the Minister of Infrastructure Vladislav Krikliy on the program Breakfast from 1 + 1 said that this year additional trains will be launched in the directions of the resorts, because extremely active domestic tourism is expected.
“In the directions of the resorts, we will definitely add trains. Understanding that this year there will be extremely active domestic tourism, because at least we will begin to restore regular international connections from June 15, but the number of countries that will be open will also be in a limited number,” said Crickley.
According to him, there was a unique opportunity to study Ukraine thanks to domestic tourism.
Recall, from June 1, Ukraine introduced the third phase of quarantine weakening. In particular, it includes the launch of railway transport and inter-regional road transport.
Also in Ukrzaliznytsia published conditions under which passengers will be allowed on trains.
